I love working with upcoming magazines/blogs. Generally they always ask unique and personal questions. In my opinion this makes the feature more appealing to its readers. It also gives me a chance to showcase a personal side of me that most people don't see.
I had a chance to work with Tristen Phipps, an Ohio University journalism major on the news and info track with a specialization in African American Studies, Art, and English. Tristen writes for Speakeasy Magazine, an online blog for and by the students of Ohio University.
Our friendship began on Twitter after I read one of her pieces during my Sophomore year of college. A year later, we decided to sit down at a cafe and create this interview. The interview features another friend/entrepreneur of mine named Karris Barclay, the owner of Cocoa Cupcakes.
